Cabling
With 2no. BICSI RCDD engineers on board, UCS are
able to offer packaged service of design, install & maintain
coupled with Public Indemnity insurance all design works are guaranteed
and backed.
Going back to 1989 UCS employ engineers who at that time were delivering
Thick Ethernet 10base5 backbones with 10base2 technology delivering
speeds of 10mbps across network co-axial cable. Evolution has seen
migration from co-axial to twisted pair in the forms of Cat3, Cat4,
Level4, Cat5 on to Cat5e. Cat5e is the most common cable used today
with a lifespan of up coming 15years. The longevity of the cable
is down to the capability of carrying speeds of 1gbps.
Like all technology markets we must look forward. The introduction
of Augmented Cat6 (Cat6a/e) with the capabilities of carrying 10gbps
are today regarded as futuristic by many Network Managers, may be
down to the non existence of copper 10g switches. However, once the
launch to the market becomes a reality, history tells us in the cabling
market 10G over copper will become common to specification the world
over.
Here at UCS we regard BICSI as our benchmark certification assisting
us of technical transition so we can assure our client an economical
advantageous install.
